Intertrust Acquires PublishOne
Acquisition Extends InterTrust Lead in Publishing Sector and Underscores Plan to
Offer Expanded Customer Services and Solutions
SANTA CLARA, Calif., Jan. 31 /PRNewswire/ -- InterTrust Technologies Corporation (Nasdaq: ITRU -
news), the leading developer of peer-to-peer, distributed digital rights management (DRM) technology,
today announced the acquisition of PublishOne Inc. (www.publishone.com), a leading developer of online
publishing and distribution services for business information publishers. Merging PublishOne into InterTrust
will enhance InterTrust's ability to provide partners and customers with more complete solutions and will
accelerate the delivery of end-to-end services. Acquiring PublishOne also strengthens InterTrust's leadership
in the publishing sector by providing InterTrust with the most advanced DRM publishing solutions for its
partners and customers.
PublishOne extends InterTrust's partner base of established media and technology firms, including BMG,
Universal, Adobe, Blockbuster/Enron and AOL, to include publishers and information providers such as
Yankelovich Partners; Employee Benefits Institute of America, LLC; Journal of Archaeology; Mindshare,
Inc.; and VNU Trade Dimensions.
Both InterTrust and PublishOne are partners with Adobe Systems. Adobe will be including InterTrust's
DRM technology in its Acrobat Reader product and Acrobat Reader is the client software platform for the
PublishOne Service.
