This is not just for Seeker, but for all those who keep bashing CNBC and their programming.

I'm not going to tell you that I like CNBC, or that their coverage is better/more informative than any others, but as capitalists, we need to recognize a few realities:

1) CNBC is a for-profit outfit. They will do what makes them money. Period.
2) We (the "little guy") can not count on anyone else operating in our best interest. That is our job, and our job alone.
3) (Here's one from our parents) If something sounds too good to be true, it probably is.

My God, you guys are upset because some Jackass told you to buy AMZN at 400, AND YOU DID IT!

The root of the problem boils down to this: the talking heads brought on to CNBC fall victim to the same syndrome that the "stockpicking" contests cause. Each talking head must recommend a stock which is going to triple in the next 30 days.

Let's all just remember that expecting 100% per year is unreasonable.
