Joe, Re: You can just take the power consumption of Athlon 700 as your starting point to get a more accurate number (it is listed in the table.)

With that number (40W for 700 MHz) I'd get 17,58W -- 0,68W more than with my calculation. Pretty close, so I guess the numbers are about right. It's really amazing how much AMD could have reduced power consumption without changing anything (except the voltage, of course).
