THats not what your rules say Mr Moderator.. your rules say that if you unilaterally ban someone without a vote... 3 objections will lift it.. nowhere does it say in that preamble that if you receive more PM's saying how happy they are you did it - that it will override the 3 objections... and it doesnt matter whether you think you would have had the votes to ban him.. you cant assume that when the whole user base is voting... the fact is.. you chose the unilateral ban.. and your own procedures say 3 objections lift it.. and you decided to conveniently ignore your own rules.. I think as I said if this is what you're going to do.. change the rules as they go... then you might as well drop the rules and make this like any other moderated base... ruled at the moderators whim and how he feels that certain day. DO I agree with Richard and his views on Rambus? hardly.. do I think he sometimes posts stuff that gets peoples backs up.. absolutely.. however.. I am arguing more on principle then anything else.. and procedure was simply NOT followed. and by not just anyone.. the threads moderator did it! Just because you dont like someone doesnt mean he should be banned.. and just because he posts off topic for 2 or 3 messages does NOT warrant a suspension.. if that criteria was applied to everyone.. half the user base would be banned here Stop being so stubborn Mani, and reinstate the guy. swallow your pride and your anger at him and FOLLOW YOUR OWN RULES! OR get rid of them completely
