Star, Ah, the SEC folks had me on speed dial for a while in the mid-1980s. And, to my good fortune, there was a also a CFTC at that time and they paid visits, too. I was doubly blessed. But they always sent callow kids right out of school to talk to a grizzled old warhorse, and they didn't know feces from Shinola. Nice people. Bright. But time after time I was in the position of being asked to describe what they should look for if someone was playing fast and loose with options and futures. The good news was, I became a resource for a couple of them and that had its fun moments. It was fun when I saw a competitor who didn't know what he was doing and I could suggest a few pungent questions to ask him and give them sample good and bad answers to look for. <g>
