Dave,

I do suggest you play the role of the tooth ferry, (I am not convinced it is a gender specific role!!!) The tooth ferry forgot to show up at my house last night. So this morning as Brian searched under his pillow, I quickly dropped the dollar bill on the floor behind his bed.....boy was I slick!!! Then I ask him if the thought maybe it fell on the floor when he moved in his sleep!!! He still wanted to know why the tooth fairy didn't take his tooth. I assured him it was because they didn't want to disturb his sleep!!!

(print your story.....put it with the tooth...and when the day comes you can share the memory of this event with Emilie....)

Re: the tooth fairy. I received .25, and I am sure that a dollar or two is enough.

Last night I made a lasagna and my little boy went on about how good it looked and smelled. Then, he said, "what IS Mazagna?"

Well, I think we over did it a bit when my daughter lost her first tooth, (or should I say MR. Tooth Fairy overdid it a bit). My daughter got $2.00, a video tape, a book, a paint kit, and a kid's sports bottle. Of course, the all to generous tooth fairy could not possibly put all this loot under my daughter's pillow, so he thought it might be fun to put it under mommy's pillow for our little one to find. She thought it was hilarious, I on the other hand, had a terrible nights sleep. We did have a little talk with my daughter afterwards, just to let her know that only the "first" tooth was given such attention. After that, a little cloth pouch filled chuck full of change was enough to make her just as happy.
