the more i think about it, the less it seems like the problem could be due to users inserting bad code.

in fairness to scott, maybe that's all the examples he has seen. whereas you and i and a whole great big group of other classic users encounter intermittently broken links in personal profiles everywhere we go.

but again, it is a fairly recent occurrence... tough to pin a time frame on, but all was well for a long time, and with the same code.

The most recent examples that I saw in Classic where bad HTML code. Now, this does not mean that this was always the cause - it very well could have been broken in Classic. It was just the last few times that I saw broken HTML in Classic it was the result of bad HTML code. I will keep checking - please let me know if you notice otherwise.
