RDRAM vs SDRAM: Pentium 4 Benchmarks To Be Revealed At IDF
Now there's a dicey situation. I would hate to be the marketing guy charged with that task. <VBG>
While the P4 RDRAM/SDRAM benchmarks may be interesting to some, what many want to know is how P4/SDRAM compares to PIII and Athlon.
And there will be plenty of sources that make that extrapolation.

Jim,

The strength of P4 is with DRAM bandwidth limited applications. Single data rate SDRAM will not perform well on those applications.

On the other hand, P4 w/ 2 DDR busses will meet or beat dual channel P4/RDRAM across the spectrum of apps.
