<<Greenspan is the worst central banker in history. Period. He can keep stalling for a while, but he will exhaust his monetary capacity soon enough. The U.S. financial markets/economy are a plane at high altitude in trouble. Just as in 1998, Greenspan's response is to point the nose of the plane upward and step on the gas, on the seeming theory the further you get from the earth the safer you are.
