There are lots of things weighing on my mind this morning, none of which have to do recovering from my fun-filled trip to Tampa (even though the ponies and Giants beat me to a pulp). I believe today might prove to be pivotal to the COMP/NDX, both of which have gone nowhere in two weeks. I'm sure some may see consolidation as healthy, which was my take yesterday morning. However, the final hour's action was far from healthy. Any negative close on the COMP/NDX would lead me to conclude that a retest of the lows will be seen much sooner than I had expected. While the SPX looks a bit healthier, the BKX is overbought and I don't think consumer or deep cyclicals can run much longer. I was also very troubled to see the II bullish reading of 61.0 yesterday.
