Mishedlo,

<< How do VRSN and CHKP relate business-wise. >>

No clue. These days, my fundamental research is very limited---mostly, I just concentrate my efforts on getting the stock symbol correct <ggg>

VRSN is in a downtrend, but IMHO not a short candidate at this time. I would look for an entry at the declining 50 day ema if I were going to short VRSN:

CHKP is faltering, but still technically in an uptrend. It failed at a triple top in November and sold off sharply, but then rallied back up through the long term moving averages twice, once in December and once in January. Along the way, volatility and daily volume have both increased sharply, indicating that there is an all-out bull/bear war raging here, with the final outcome still very much in doubt as of now.

There are no technical sell signals which would prompt me to short CHKP at this time, and in any event, I would want to see it fail again at the 200 day ema, rally to test that level, and fail at that test. It is only at that point that I would seriously consider a short entry, not before.

JMVHO.........
