I'm skeptical that any formal charges would be brought against any of the Justices. Resignation is a remote possibility as well, I think. Scalia has made his place in history; a far cry from his aspiration of Chief Justice.

While I disagreed with the opinions of Scalia at times, I had a lot of respect for him as a Justice. "Had" is the operative word.

Fortunately there is no statute of limitations for treason.

So maybe that is why Rehnquist will resign now!
