jawboning has always been an acknowledged practice with real impact. and the jawboning, surely, goes both ways. i.e. the banks, political arena, media, public have impact on the actions of the "independent" fed.

but surely, you don't think
printing has no real relationship to rates.

the psychology/jawboning may impact substantially markets in the short term, but the laws of physics (supply and demand) have not been repealed.

and as far as We've been down the road with this question before , don't we on the thread go down most roads many times a day. surely the "al the printer, to the moon alice" theme has been voiced a thousand times to each of my posts on the subject. or the "tomorrow we crash theme" is somewhat repetitive <g>
