At least there is a tax hit when they reprice. But some companies try to get around that by just issuing more options at a lower strike while leaving the higher-strike-price options "naked", as it were. Talk about moral hazard.

the stock option situation today is a complete joke. when ceo's get over 1 billion shares in stocks like orcl and msft it puts things into perspective. these stocks are garbage.
