The reason for the vitriol is fear.

Did you happen to see Bush this morning at the National Prayer Breakfast? See him hugging Andrew Young? Bush got less than 10% of the Black vote. He has nowhere to go but up. He's making friends and alliances in typical dem strongholds. Oh, and did you notice he invited the Kennedy clan for a screening of "13 Days"?
