Because if everything fell apart...the last shares to be sold would be GE's.
Do not ever worry about investing in GE...unless you need to convert your investment to cash in the next couple of weeks.;-)

the honeywell acq is a big mistake for GE. Jack Welch just wanted a big final trophy for himself and he rammed it through.

UT backed away from the Hon buy because they saw GE was bidding too much for it. They were right. GE is going to sag with honeywell on board.

Rob, have you read the latest issue of Business Week?
The cover story is on Enron. What an impressive company.
No wonder the stock is up 175% in the past 2 years.
I'm going to buy some Enron on Monday.
