Jim,

Ex-Presidents generally live in very nice houses. It would be unseemly for them to do otherwise.

It is fun to judge great men by petty little standards however.

BTW: Your man Bush has solved the energy infrastrucure problem in California. Letting his oilfield campaign contributors drill in the ANWR should clear up California's electricity generation and consumption problem- don't you think?
