ild, I do occasionally sell out of the money calls on stocks that have had a long run, but, in general, if I am not enthused enough to keep the shares on their own, I am usually looking for either a sale or to turn it into a spread conversion (short at the money call, long out of the money put). I just hate the idea of losing what I've made. There is also some difference between strategies that I use for Maximum Income and stocks I buy for capital appreciation. INCY and BR were both the latter.
