Blake,

It does indeed make the case. If your brother shoplifts, that proves you are guilty of murder.

Unigen Introduces Industry's First Rambus Module With Low Profile Under 0.8 Inches
PR Newswire - February 01, 2001 17:05

FREMONT, Calif., Feb. 1 /PRNewswire/ -- Unigen, a leader in the design and manufacture of memory products, today announced the introduction of "Jararaca," a 192MB Rambus Lo-Fi(TM) 184Pin RIMM module that is the lowest profile Rambus board currently available, and the industry's first Rambus board with a profile under 0.8 inches. The Lo-Fi(TM) Jararaca RIMM provides a 0.77 inch profile, significantly lower than the Rambus standard of 1.25 inches.

The Jararaca was designed for use in embedded applications, networking and communications products, and any other applications that require low profile memory. The Lo-Fi(TM) Jararaca RIMM is also ideal for rackmount applications requiring multiple racks. The Lo-Fi(TM) Jararaca RIMM delivers transfer rates up to 1.6GB/sec, meets all Rambus standards for 184Pin devices, and is configured to take ECC and non-ECC components. The new Lo-Fi(TM) design also features a heat spreader with a unique surface mount attachment.

"Technology providers continue to minimize package sizes, while loading their devices with more power and functionality than ever. Electronics designers depend on reduced component sizes, such as memory boards with smaller dimensions, to meet customer demands. With the lowest profile available for a Rambus module, the new Jararaca enables compact product designs that were previously not possible," stated Scott Marx, director of sales of Unigen.

The Lo-Fi(TM) Jararaca RIMM has completed Unigen's rigorous functional and system level testing, and is ready for high volume production. For product specifications, please contact your Unigen representative.
