To: DUD who wrote (924 ) 2/3/2001 1:03:44 AM From: dg_flier Respond to of 1001 Right on DUD, I agree with you 110%, Cybercorp dose UN-improve the software trading interface with some of their so called upgrades- I only use CyberX without the level-2 (plus Q-charts) but now with the CyberX2 upgrade they did away with basic consolidated bid and ask size for the level one quotes and replaced it with an ECN book (which anyone can get for free realtime on the web), Like I am supposed to get that information from that book- NO WAY/Cannot happen. Told me I should get the level-2 version so I could see the best bid and ask size for a ridiculous $99. What a rip off. It is clear they are trying up the cash flow with software gimmicks, but with no real added value. Here is a e-mail I sent to Cybercorp and their response: Jill, What the heck is going on here- I upgrades to cyberx2 but there is NO LEVEL ONE BID/ASK SIZE like there was in ver.1.6 Have you left it out or is it a bug in the software and missing? Level one bid ask size is very necessary for trading and basic information which is missing from you x2 windows. Am I seeing this right? If this will not be corrected I will seek another broker- I have no use for a software that cannot give basic quote information. Please forward this request- complaint to the proper dept and let me know who or whom that is. I have also enclosed other comments from other traders. Version 1.6 level one quotes are what many trade off of. Thanks, dg_flier Their Response: You recently inquired about whether or not we included the share size of the bid and ask price in the Nasdaq Level 1 information provided to you on CyberX2.0. The answer to that is partially no. The software now provides an ECN book for NASDAQ stocks if you have the level 2 tab displayed. You will see the Island or Redi share level but not the entire market. So, you will not get the true inside market share level without a subscription to level 2 with the X2 platform. If you wish to subscribe to it, and you do fewer than 50 trades in a month, it costs you $99. I know that share amounts were included in the 1.6 version of the software, however it was updated by development not to include that feature. If you wish to see it again, I must refer you tocybercorp.com This is a site developed for our traders to let us know of items that they wish to be included on future builds of our software.
