Mephisto--That is one of the better statements that I've read from Dr. King (one of my alltime heroes); I couldn't agree with him more. I am SO sick of (some, not all) sanctimonious religious people tut-tutting about the lives of the poor, while they don't do jack-shit about trying to help them improve their lives.... Just frickin' kills me... Martin Luther King was, in my view, one of the greatest Americans to be produced during the 20th century--it was such an incredible tragedy that he was killed... God knows what he would have accomplished had he lived....
