I was thinking more in terms of when was the last time that the continental 48 states were attacked. Hawaii wasn't a state in '41, of course. Japanese also attacked the Aleutian Islands during World War II, but again, Alaska wasn't a state at the time. Pancho Villa, as I recall, shot up a town in New Mexico around '13, and a few balloon booby-trap bombs that the Japanese released in World War II found their way to the American Northwest, where one or two people were killed inspecting them.

You bring up an interesting point with the World Trade Center. How is spending $1 trillion for a Star Wars system going to prevent similar in the future?

Same with Hawaii. How is a Star Wars system based in Alaska going to protect Hawaii?
