Yes, Bollinger Bands indicate volatility and volatility is a factor in options pricing. When the bands "pinch-in" it indicates that the stock has been less volatile than normal; look for cheap options that will really score when volatility returns to normal.

(IMHO)..In speculation, the way "they" accumulate stock is to kill speculative interest by holding prices in a narrow range..hence narrower than normal Bollinger Bands can be taken as an indication of accumulation
