Yep..they just did a re-spin of an old news story..STRX had already announced they were pulling out of Germany....but the timing did not help. They were supposed to close the IDTC deal yesterday - I'm not encouraged by the fact they have not issued a PR to that effect.

Here's the info from the previous PF:

STAR Deutschland GmbH is projected to lose $31.8 million on $120.7 million of revenues for fiscal year 2000 and its monthly revenue has declined over the last 12 months from $13.4 million to $4.4 million in December 2000. STAR Deutschland will work with its customers to transition their traffic to other carriers and, thereafter, will commence an orderly disposition of its assets.

``The financial results of STAR's German operations are unacceptable,'' stated Brett S. Messing, chairman and chief executive officer of STAR Telecommunications. ``STAR's new management team will continue to take decisive action to return the company to profitability.''
