interesting that you think that selling calls on a stock in the open market will tank a stock but giving them to employees is okay.

further proof of the disconnect.

what is the difference if csco were to instead of giving a set amount of options to an employee at year end for a bonus they the options and give the employee the cash from the proceeds.

can't you see this options granting is just a game and the shareholders get screwed.

how about this one....what if all the employees wrote call options equal to the stock options they are granted and sold them on the open market. Would that tank a stock?
