I agree. A couple of years ago, there was an amazing exhibit at the American History Museum of the development of the computer. One walked by clunky mainframes with punch cards and reel to reel tapes, and ended up with microprocessors and the stunning malleability of silicon chips. The first personal computers were ridiculous; nowadays, one can buy a supercomputer for a laptop. The first computer I had was a 386, with 4 megabytes ram, and two of those had been added by the previous owner. It was practically obsolete when I bought it, although still usable as a word processor, and it was less than four years old. I would be very leery of imposing limits on inventors and engineers..........
