KLP,

Perhaps I missed something along the way, but why does office rent for a former President, that is obviously out of line, and out of reason, have to be bourne by the taxpayers?? Why is Clinton allowed to screw the American people even after he is out of office?? Shouldn't there be a limit to allowable office rent for former President's?? Seems to me, somebody should have thought of that a long time ago. Clinton does not rate anything better than a toilet in the basement, IMO.

"Has ANYONE wondered WHY an office in NYC"

Uh, let's see...family with home in Westchester coupled with NY as arguably the most important financial, cultural and dynamic city in the world, in tandem with some of the most infuential people in the world...now where else would someone of his power and stature consider living?...sure ain't gonna be AK at this stage of his life...now I do have a plan to pay the somewhat high rent: perhaps they should use the proceeds on the sale of Reagan's $2.5M Bel Air home (probably valued at some $5-7M now) in sunny Cal to finance the rent payments, coupled with Bush repaying Harkin Energy shareholders he bilked out of millions some years ago...just a thought.
