HMTT/KMAG Talk(back to my roots!!) -

Anyone have the media volume shipments for HMTT in either the MarQ00 or JunQ00? I am trying to track total shipments from HMTT and KMAG during the last few years. I've found everything except this data for HMTT.

FWIW, it's pretty scary to re-read the old PR's from HMTT and KMAG in 1997. KMAG was estimating enough equipment capacity to produce 20mil disks/Q, HMTT was gearing up to be ready(end of 97) to produce almost 11mil/Q...

By my count, the best Q for these two was DecQ97 when they shipped ~23mil disks(with another 8mil or so ready to start gettin' spit out). In MarQ98 we had the beginning of it all, ~ 10% drop in ASPs for that Q. Before that, it was always talk of slightly increased ASPs YTY due to better product mix.

ASP drops have been avg'ing in the high teens over the last few years. Except recently when they hit -14% YTY. I see this drop in ASP declines correspond with the talk of HMTT/KMAG merger. Makes sense I guess. This Q will be key IMO. If ASPs hold flat(to small decline) like Tan mentioned in the CC, progress has been made.

I'd be interested in the data if anyone has it.
