Right, jpgill ... and in those days you could tell a story like that without being accused of blatant flag-waving and xenophobia. Maybe the last time in our history that we all agreed who the bad guys were. Have you read "Round Up the Usual Subjects," the story of making that film? Seems that even the writers weren't sure how it would end, as they were making script changes right up to the last day of shooting. It is said that Ingrid Bergman's performance was all the finer because even the writers couldn't tell her who Ilsa really loved. Which of today's crop of movies do you think will still be on the shelves of video stores 60 years from now???
