Sentences like "Life acts purposively" and "all cellular processes are purposeful" are nothing but man-made metaphors. However, the decision to have an abortion being cellular, it should, by this reasoning, not be thwarted. Like osmosis and photosynthesis. Never interrupt them. Also infection. Decay. Cataracts. Leprosy. Cancer. Rabies. All cellular. In your sense, all "purposeful." Bland, it makes no sense to attribute purpose to cells. Why does God kill millions of "babies" quite routinely each month?
