I am very slightly nervous with the "self installation" but I will report back to anyone that care how "easy" the process can be.

It was simple for me, I have both a Mac and a PC. No problems at all. Haven't had any for two months. NONE ZERO ZIP. Modem arrived quickly even though it was during Xmas rush. Connecting is quick and easy compared with dial up. I've been pleasantly surprised.

The only alternative I had was cable for 50% more per month with a company I already hate (Buena Vista), and I'm in LA. I've heard the stories about DSL but I think they've ironed them out.

"! I just ordered DSL from Verizon with self installation. Will see if DSL will compare well with my Roadrunner experience.....I am very slightly nervous with the "self installation" but I will report back to anyone that care how "easy" the process can be."

NV- We are always looking for stuff like this on the LM. So how did it work?

I can tell you my Road Runner cable modem service (Time Warner) isn't much better than a dial-up no matter what the false advertisments tell you. -MikeM(From Florida)
