Scumbria Re: <But it is fun to take cheap shots at liberals and California, isn't it?>

Yes.

Sounds like your watch is wound pretty tight. I must have come in in the middle of something.

If it makes you feel better(It makes me feel worse) you should know that over the next 3 years or so the rest of the country is likely to be getting into the same kind of fix.(In my opinion.)

Scumbria, Re: <Silicon Valley epitomizes unbridled capitalism. It is also heavily Democratic.>

I submit that it is as far from mainstream america as the miners of mars.

A good example of "California Think".

Silicon Valley epitomizes unbridled capitalism. It is also heavily Democratic.

Seems like a vote against its own self interests. Whatever your opinion on the other issues where the two major parties in the US differ I would submit that the Republicans are generally better friends of unbridled capitalism. Perhaps the majority of people in SV agree strongly enough with the Democrats on other issues that they base their votes purely on those issues or perhaps they figure they will be allowed to exercise relatively unbridled capitalism anyway and don't care if others are denied the oportunity.
