HIO-- those using the 'free' ISP may be bombarded with ADs but if those that pay for the premium ISP get any ADs I would hope they would leave in a hurry. The INTRANET will be available but whoever gave you the impression CPQ or anyone else would "Compaq will be running the post office's private mail system which will include service and maintenance" is on something illeagle. The Intranet is an information system. There will be limited mailing available from the Intranet and only to specific sites inhouse. The E-mail system is completely different and under no circumstances will that be under this contract. Actually cpq will have no more to do with the email of employees than any other INDIVIDUAL they sell a box too. There STILL seems to be some that believe this is a single source contract-- it is NOT,,, employees will have a choice of cpq or IBM and it is ONLY to supply boxes, ISP, and upgrades/addons... to EMPLOYEES! The usps has contracts with cpq and others for the business apps.
