Haven't seen the news/release if htere is any, but from a fellow trader's comments, i believe he heard via the tv?

around 20-30% of the volume has disappeared primarily because inter-mm trading to fill client/customer orders is no longer counted. seems to make sense and correlate with the 1.7b... gives us around 2.2-2.4b...

so say if a trader at nite needs stock, he'll go to another mm to get it for his/her customer..etc... and i think it also affects INCA trades...

Margin, they eliminated all double counting of "no risk" transactions, where the buy and sell through the MM is at the same price. Estimates (from CNBC) are that this reduces volume count by about 10%.
