Scumbria,

There was another reason why energy conservation was important in the 70's. Back then our society still remembered JFK's words "ask not what your country can do for you, ask what you can do for your country"

I am not sure what the JFK's call did, other than generate some rhetoric and hot air. I am not sure if there was any national emergency, and in general, I am not for "crying wolf", unless it is really needed.

How about telling me how you would go about generating power for 282 million Americans. You seem to be avoiding the subject.

Joe

Forget paying off the debt. We would rather have a tax cut. We wanna have our tax cut! Wanna, wanna, wanna. Forget the kids and the $5 trillion we owe. Gimme my tax cut!!!!!!

Forget paying off the debt or letting people keep more of their own money with less control by the federal government. I wanna have a new federal program and have lots of money spent on the old programs that I like. Wanna, wanna, wanna.

You keep talking about paying off the debt but you never seem to come up with ways to help make that happen by cutting back federal spending except perhaps cutting a bit from the military.
