Rande, I will second your thoughts there. I know I posted a while ago here on the Home thread about Velo. He's been extremely adept at identifying short sell opportunities, and does so in a manner anyone can respect.

Since I started lurking and occasionally participating there, I've learned a lot playing the short side with he and Sharck.

Everyone should keep in mind, its best not to be too bullish or too bearish - just play the trades as appropriate

I didn't know you're a Programmer? Interesting. Which technologies? So how do you like trading-by-day-programming-by-night?

Rande...I would like to openly post a public thank you for your very generous words. I think we all have much to learn, including myself, as there is no end point in trading knowledge, but I am grateful for having the medium in which to exchange thoughts and ideas that makes our job easier. Aside from Sharck's board which I call home right now, the HOME thread is my second favorite and I keep up with it daily. Not only are your posted thoughts well appreciated, but also those from the many contributors that you have...especially when it comes to long plays. While I can and do trade both sides of the market, my forte is short selling. It is nice to be able to go to another thread and pick up ideas and information for the long side, as I can only do so much research just like anyone else. We have a great opportunity to exchange ideas so that all of us can become better traders and regardless of whether you trade primarily long, short, or both, it is beneficial to listen to both sides in order to enhance our talents.

Our success is proof positive that even two traders with opposing styles can still work together and make money in the same market. I look forward to working with Rande on his insighters.com project.

Sincerely,

Velociraptor
