If history is any indication, the closeness of the election will be forgotten in 6 months and the "winner" will act with the hubris that'd be expected from the kind of person who enters politics. This is true with either side, BTW. I doubt that if Gore had won a narrow victory that a lot of the issues and concerns of the Baby Bushers would have been incorporated. I'm buckling my seat belt for a hard ride and a general trouncing of Humanist values. I hope I'm wrong but I doubt it. All the ammunition is in place to have a political sweep of the government. Here are some motto's: Let the rape of the environment return! Screw all the poor people! Abortions for rich punks' girlfriends only! Let them be Christians!
