Yaacov...

But why they didn't call the analysts and officially warn?

New requirement in the US - regulation Full Disclosure. Companies must provide equal access to information to all investors. So they can't call analysts and warn only them... they would have to have a conference call or do a press release or something of that nature so that all investors could have access to the info.

But why they didn't call the analysts and officially warn? Tulvio do you believe the stock will suffer or it remains after the negative earning report?

It could mean that Cisco will meet consensus earnings estimate, 19c, but not beat estimate by a penny as has been their custom. Also revenue growth might be slightly less than the 65% from year ago Q. The two back-to-back warnings by Chambers that the quarter is "challenging" and resultant selloff might prevent a further selloff following the announcement on Tuesday. More important will be the forward guidance Chamber gives. Given the above scenario, and positive guidance -- the stock will move up. I don't want to think of other scenarios.
