Geez, I guess we're all crazy. Working on the weekend again.

But if I hadn't checked in, I'd have missed Kevin's most excellent post!

Who did the bit about the dry-cleaners that kept offering cookies? That one needs re-posting. Not because of relevance. Just because it was hilarious! There are so many parodies of and jabs at us that they're really worthy of a separate thread for easier finding.

Scott,

Will the Next/Previous/etc. message links be moved back to the left (in Classic mode)?

If not, please reconsider.

It's much better to have those links on the left where they're always in the same place on each page, regardless of how wide the page is. Once you've positioned your mouse cursor over the link, you can read a whole sequence of messages without having to re-position the mouse for occasional wide messages.

If the links are aligned with the right edge of the message or the page, those links won't always be in the same place. For messages wider than the standard Classic-mode message box, users have to move the mouse just to get to the Next link.

In fact, users sometimes have to scroll horizontally just to get to the Next link. It's one thing to scroll horizontally when you want to read a fixed-format message that's formatted very wide. But you shouldn't have to scroll horizontally just to skip that message and get to the next.

Anyway, frequently-used links should probably be left-justified anyway. If a page is wider than the user's current window, it's the left side of the page that shows up initially; the right side isn't accessible without scrolling or resizing.

Daniel

I guess I will always wonder why you guys chose to change things so drastically when you had happy and satisfied customers on the original version, now called Classic.
IMO, It was a big mistake. There's been nothing but trouble since...

Scott, not only is it a good idea, it's the way it should be

Here are a couple others

How about putting the curser back into the message box for PMs?

Also, and for something new.

When I view my BM page, I see a threas with 1 new or 2 new or 3 new etc.... Can we make it so it says "1 new", "2 new" ext? The reason for this is because on digit is difficult at best to get my curser on to click on it. Especially now that I am on my lap top for the next week.

Anyone else know what I'm talking about?
