Well it was an insult, and always will be.I have no sympathy for Susan Smith and don't find her circumstances extenuating. You are a liberal!I hope she spends the rest of her life in prison. You and I agree here, except that I have compassion upon her and wish her to acknowledge her wrong. You have no compassion and indeed try to ridicule others for having it. That is a typical liberal instinct. Liberals only have compassion when it suits them, while humans have it because they are humans. Liberal compassion is stealing a human family's land to protect a dang bug. Liberal compassion is almost fully delivering a baby, puncturing the back of its head with a sharp object, and then sucking out its brain.I'd favor the death penalty for her except that I am enough of a sexist that I feel uncomfortable with a woman being executed. She does deserve it though. I don't know enough of the details to rule against this woman's life. On principle she should get the death penalty, but whether she in practice should get it depends upon the facts and extenuating circumstances of her case.If I believed as you that the ending of the life of a human embryo from the point of conception is murder, I would be compelled to favor the treatment of women who get abortions - and that includes "silent abortions" by birth control pills and IUD's - as murderers. I favour treating women who have their children murdered by abortion as accomplices in murder. But I also know not all murders are equal, and therefore the law should not turn against all murderers or accomplices to murder in precisely the same way. They should be locked up for lengthy periods and possibly sterilized before being released so they can't murder any more babies. Perhaps some aborting women should receive this punishment, depending upon the case.Calling it murder but then not wanting it to be treated harshly seems hypocritical to me. Well too bad, reasonable men know there is no hypocrisy in it at all. Indeed they know it is absolutely consistent with reality that not all murders are the same and that therefore they should be treated differently.
