Is there a general moral principle behind those rules of behaviour? What I mean: Is there a justifiable reason behind your policies?

Justifiable? Heck I don't know. Karen brought up the idea of the social contract...but I think that there is more to it than that. Raising my son, I find that it is also the best way to instill values in him. That is, lead by example. I think that this applies in all human interaction. I believe that we tell people how we expect to be treated by how we treat them and vice versa. I don't know if there is a moral principle, I believe that there is, but more importantly, I believe that it is hardwired into our noggins. I could give some examples right here in the SI microcosm.

I am not sure that I addressed your specific questions, nor that I really understood them. If you want to drill down a bit....draw some pictures for me:-)
