Doug, Actually the analysts visibilty is worse than ever due to reg FD. Companies used to be able to call on a couple of analysts and "share"/set expectations. Today companies can not and analysts have the same information at the same time as you and I do. Bottom line, they are no better off, with regard to the data, than you or I. They'll of course tell you that they have the capacity to leverage their paid economists etc etc to gleen the future. However it's far more macro then perhaps it was only a few quarters ago. OG
