Paul, they aren't using a mobile PIII. It's a desktop PIII in a mobile computer. I've seen similar solutions offered here in Denmark as well.

Paul, why does the press release claim 3 hour battery life, but the specifications claim 2 hours? Will this unit actually run at 1 GHz off batteries? If not, I'm afraid Califronia attorney general will have to receieve a complaint about false advertising by Intel Corp., since neither the press release nor the specifications mention any speed other than "1 GHz."

From the specification: microexpress.net
Battery Life:
Estimated battery life 2 Hours
Type of Battery:
Rechargeable Lithium-Ion Battery (75.6W)
Optional Extra Battery

And the above is for a 128M unit, while the press release talks about 256M!

This would indicate a typical power consumption of 37.8 watts -- better wear your thermal underwear if you want any more kids!
