I think Bush is corrupt and stupid.

It would seem to me in light of your buddy Bill's exit, you charging G W with corruption , without any coraborating evidence, shows far more idiocy than anything G W has done. People in glass houses shouldn't be throwing rocks. Here's a hint. Why not try to accuse the republicans of something they really are guilty of, and that you have proof of? Six months ago, your fellow dems called the tax cuts stupid, but look who is stupid now. Your fellow dems. are scurrying to develop a tax plan. Even Greenspan favors tax cuts.

Maybe G W was just lucky on that one. I'll bet you that vouchers will do far more to shape up public schools than the dems. efforts to throw more money at them. And I will bet you that G W's efforts to have bipartisian participation will pay off in spades. I would be willing to bet that the religious charities will be able, in most instances, to deliver more bang for the buck to the poor. Now I realize there will be separation of church and state issues, but there is little doubt in my mind that many religious charities are far more efficient at delivering that aid to the people. In the 60's and 70's, Louis Farakan's Black Muslims group was given money by the government to rid the housing projects of crime; and lets face it, because of Farrakan's influence amongst the black community, that test was largely a success. Running a limited test in N. Y. for instance, to see which aid,if any, can be delivered better through charities would be wise. Which charities, and keeping the corruption out of them will be major hurdles however; but it might be doable, and the results could be worth it. At any rate, G w's professed interest in embracing religious ideals, not a specific religion, will be popular, not only with the Christian right, but with all people who, like me, believe that communal ideals(all religions stress community) and helping the family thrive, should have a larger voice in our political and legal decisions.

In short, I believe G W has had a great two weeks, as opposed to Bill and Hillary and the democratic party, which seems to have embraced corruption and tackieness. By putting Terry McAuliff as head of the DNC, the dems seem to embrace sleaze as Terry was a prime promoter of the White house breakfasts, motel 6 operations, and soft money. Instead of complaining about G W, why don't you clean up your own house instead.
