Zeev: Besides the retail investor, the market is really divided into 4 camps. a: The Mutual non hedged funds ( Their prosperity is tied to rising prices) b: The heged Funds ( Their prosperity is generally tied to falling prices) c: The Brokerage/Institutions (Their prosperity is tied to volatility in both directions) d: Foreign Investment ( Prosperity tied to rising prices and stronger dollar) Each of these camps have their own agendas, followers and Gurus. I believe b and c triggered the slide and d is currently joining in. Would appreciate if any one has any plots of the percentage shorts vrs the index . This will help to appreciate where we are relative to past yo-yos.
