The thread needs an internal police agency, Monty. It needs rules, guidelines, a moderator, punitive measures. What's become of the Topic? Its borders have been crossed, its boundaries transgressed. SI should have a prison for rule breakers, a Gulag, a thread somewhere out on the fringes of the Web, with a cold, unforgiving climate, where those with extreme positions could be confined, locked up for the safety of others, put to work in silicon quarries. Suspensions are inadequate, not harsh enough. There's too much recidivism, studies show. The malefactors only lapse into their antisocial behavior.

All sorts of extremist positions are being advanced on this thread. Technical analysis includes money management(!). Technical analysis doesn't include money management(!). TA systems -- confusing and often harmful to beginners, anathema to proponents of price and volume -- are insinuating themselves into the discussion. Mysterious (and probably dangerous) MACD periods are being used in charts. Charges and countercharges of self-promotion are being made. Trendlines are being broken through. TA is even being equated with gambling(!).

No, Monty, a vote to suspend would be inadequate. We need harsher penalites at this point. Already, there's anarchy. Arrests need to be made, and trains need to be requisitioned for the long ride to the Silicon Gulag.
