Tim, Have you been to the Bay Area? They have 15 million people packed into about 300 square miles. They have absorbed hundreds of thousands of immigrants in the last decade alone. Any place else in the US would have collapsed under those sorts of pressures. To suggest that the area has not been well governed is just plain wrong. Maybe they should have left the growth management up to real estate developers? Scumbria

How very stupid.....if we learned to conserve effectively and not let the energy market dictate the state of the economy. we would not have to go down. If the market had been allowed to operate with less government restriction there would not be such a big energy problem in CA. Tim, Why do you continually ignore a very obvious solution....conservation? What hidden agenda do Republicans have that prevents them from considering such a solution? ted
