I Thought their was a press release a few weeks ago on Telson parent company (cant recall the name)
renewing a QCOM agreement for WCDMA/CDMA 2000. If true NOK could ride on the coat tail

It appears that Q IR says that [I had forgotten all about that discussion, by the way] Nokia is a licensee for 1x CDMA2000. Nokia's own press has said that it is a supporter of CDMA2000, but the emphasis is lukewarm. It still doesn't necessarily mean that Nokia has a WCDMA license. Nokia doesn't need such a license as it appears that WCDMA will be delayed. Nokia is clearly piece-mealing Q's IPR. Itdoes mean that Q and Nokia are getting friendlier.

Still is good news, particularly since Dr. J said that the 1x market will be profitable for years. I suppose he knows/assumes that WCDMA is not going to take off for some time, and that 1x will fill the gap in the interim.

I can live with that, particularly since Q will probably have 90%, plus, of the 1x ASICs market. Kinda gives a whole new light to the INTC rumors.

Q is underpriced.
