Still a sore point.

I think your sore point is with the pointy-hair management world. The real issue with Y2K is the plain fact that software testing is pretty pathetic. If we tested cars like the industry tests software, Detroit would just have Joe six pack take the new car model for spin around the block. If he comes back and says "It works for me", it gets shipped.

No where is this more evident than the software that runs this message board. I don't even think SI runs basic test cases before they deploy changes.
