Right now, the survivors will be taking a more realistic look at costs and fees.

In the fwiw department, rates for SOHO level DSL seem to have stabilized (in the Bay Area) and are moving up. It is still possible to shop around and find a lower cost provider, but many of the low-end providers have gone kaput, or have been bought up by the big boys on the block with the marketing muscle to make the new prices stick. <g> I've heard rumblings that the co-location ISP's (like Exodus) are taking a similar stance.
